Indian Basa Fish
Indian Basa is a catfish that comes from the Pangasiidae breed. Indian Basa fish is also called river cobbler, pangasius, or swai. Its skin has a light, firm texture and the taste of meat is mild. Indian Basa fish is renowned in the rivers of Southeast Asia. Due to its popularity and the elevated export, it’s also farmed in large numbers surrounding the Mekong River.
Like other fish, Indian basa is low in calories and contains high-quality protein. Due to its low-calorie count, it is beneficial to include it in a diet plan. It also contains unsaturated fats, which include some omega-3 fatty acids. Omega-3 fatty acids are essential fats that maintain the health levels of the body and brain. However, Indian basa is much lower in omega-3 fats than others, like salmon and mackerel.
Squeeze the air from the plastic bag. Take a large utensil and place some ice on the bottom. Put the Indian basa fish in the utensil and coat it with more ice. Add a bowl below for melting ice. Store the whole serving in the refrigerator, and repeat the process once a day until it is ready to cook.
